Jealousy makes me nasty
"); document.write("The Cape Town City Centre is über-trendy and a convenient place to live, but it's definitely NOT affordable. Actually, it's a rip-off.

Although it would be nice to live in a trendy place like that (dramatic location, close to work, cosmopolitan, pristine beaches, etc, etc) you have to consider whether paying R1-million for a 39m2 bachelor's flat won't cramp all your newfound style once you move in.

City Centre definitely a rip-off
"); document.write("I agree competely with Jan-Jan Roux. The City Centre is definitely NOT affordable. Paying R1mil for a studio or 1 bedroom is ridiculous. You can get a much more in woodstock or observatory, which is max 4km out of town. I will not live in town and pay that prices.. Mitxcoac"); document.write("
Love the city!
"); document.write("Cape Town City is the only place to live... I wouldn't put a foot in Woodstock until the \"regeneration\" of that suburb is complete. Hate the taxi traffic, the dirty streets and the broken windows all over the place. Give me CBD anyday thanks!. CityGuy"); document.write("
JUST MORE DRIVEL BY ESTATE AGENTS
"); document.write("Now that property prices are finally readjusting to realistic levels, they are now trying to drive rentals up with their drivel.

Causing more damage to the public by encouraging rental rip offs.

It is time that this totally useless industry gets squashed.

They are of no benefit to nobody.

Protective legislation in this regard is urgently required.

Cape Town City Bowl is amazing, so obviously it's expensive!
"); document.write("Cape Town's City Bowl is the BEST place in South Africa to live! Of course it's expensive, it's called 'supply and demand'. Whether you like them or not, this time the estate agent 'drivel' (thanks JJ) is true as Bob.

JJ, do you know central Cape Town at all? There's not a downtown area in SA that comes close!
